Questions
Frequently asked questions
If your question is not here, phone the practice or send a WhatsApp — we would rather answer it than have you guess.
How do I book an appointment?
Use the form on the contact page, send a WhatsApp, or phone the practice during opening hours. Our front desk will confirm a time and tell you how long to allow.
Do you accept new patients?
Yes. New patients are welcome and we keep time available each week for first visits. Your first appointment is longer than a routine check-up because we take a full history before examining anything.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Your ID document, your medical aid details if you have cover, a list of any medication you take, and any previous dental records or X-rays if you have them.
Do you treat children?
Yes, from around age one. First visits are deliberately short and unhurried — usually a ride in the chair, a count of the teeth and nothing more if that is all they are comfortable with.
I am nervous about the dentist. Can you help?
Very common, and not something to apologise for. Tell us when you book and we will allow extra time, explain everything before it happens, and stop whenever you ask.
Do you submit to medical aid?
We can submit quotes and treatment codes to your scheme before treatment begins, so you know what is covered and what you would pay yourself. Cash-paying patients receive a written quote up front.
What happens in a dental emergency?
Phone the practice as early in the day as possible — we keep time aside for urgent problems. Outside consulting hours, leave a message or send a WhatsApp and we will respond as early as we can.
